Daniela Rassler wins the award for the best pitch from PRECISION

Out of a competitive preselection Daniela emerged as one of the three finalists competing for the award. Today Daniela also won the final selection when she pitched her project on “Quantum sensing for cancer diagnosis”. Daniela was able to show that diamond-based quantum sensing can be used for differentiating between breast cancer cells and healthy breast cells from a cell line. First experiments to replicate the exciting findings on patient material are ongoing. Her project is part of “Nanodetect”, a collaboration between the UMCG (Schirhagl group BBT), the university of Munster, QTsense, BillX, Juke, University of Osnabruck and IOM Leipzig, funded via a grant from the Interreg VI program Germany Nederland.
