ONCO-q is granted

It was just announced that the ONCO-Q project, “Oncology Assessment via Quantum Sensing Technologies: ONCO-Q” (JTFN-00169), has been funded with a total project cost of approximately EUR 1.95 million and a JTF/EU contribution of EUR 850,000 co-funded by the European Union through the Just Transition Fund (JTF). The project is lead by QTsense in a consortium with the Life Cooperative the UMCG (Schirhagl (BBT), Kruijff (Surgical Oncology)) and RUG (Fodran, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Biology — Groningen Research Institute of Pharmacy) will investigate how diamond based quantum sensing can be used to diagnose colon cancer and predict drug efficacy.  During the project we will attempt to differentiate between cancerous and healthy tissue, and test anti-cancer drug candidates by the Fodran group and their efficacy in cancer cells.
